Rust Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Rust Systems Engineer to architect and build high-performance, memory-safe systems. You will work at the lowest levels of the stack, writing code that must be fast, reliable, and correct. This is not a web development role. This is systems engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement core systems in Rust, focusing on concurrency, memory safety, and zero-cost abstractions.
- Build and maintain async runtimes for high-throughput, low-latency applications.
- Integrate with networking protocols, media processing pipelines, and orchestration layers.
- Profile, benchmark, and optimise critical code paths for maximum performance.
- Write code that is correct by construction. No garbage collection. No runtime panics in production.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of production experience with Rust (or demonstrable equivalent systems-level experience in C/C++ transitioning to Rust).
- Deep understanding of async programming, memory management, and systems-level concurrency.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, and real-time data streaming.
- Experience with media protocols (WebRTC, RTMP, HLS) or distributed systems architecture is a strong plus.
